John Hoerner’s Recipes for Retail

This new learning programme is based around retail veteran John Hoerner’ s book Recipes for Retail. Using video clips and workbooks this course will be a thought-provoking journey through everyday retail issues. It covers theories, tips and advice on customers, people, suppliers, stock management, marketing, finance, strategy and online. 

A proportion of the proceeds of every course sold will go to the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust.

After listening to John’s advice and views, you will have the chance to apply this knowledge to your own business through the workbooks which follow each chapter. These questions will probe and stretch your thinking. You will also be encouraged to read his Recipes for Retail book. Each chapter will build on your retail understanding to make you the best retailer you can be.

You will also have the chance to put your own questions to John Hoerner in an on-line Q&A session.

We also offer some retail basics training around the end-to-end product lifecycle, covering the retail tools, techniques and processes used by buying, merchandising and planning teams and improve your understanding of retail maths, key calculations and jargon.
