EPoS System Transformation for a UK Department Store

A UK department store retailer was embarking upon one of the most significant IT changes in their history – a new EPoS system. They needed a training partner who could demonstrate their innovation and expertise in this area and give their staff the skills, knowledge and confidence to support this important change.

EPoS System Transformation for a UK Department Store
The challenge for First Friday was to create engaging and interactive EPoS eLearning which could be used effectively and efficiently in two ways; firstly as the training format to be used across all stores within the roll-out programme, and secondly to support business as usual once EPoS had been launched.
First Friday created eLearning sessions which enabled all retail staff to easily and quickly get to grips with the new EPoS system by using scenarios and exercises which mirrored the EPoS experience on the shop floor. With over 23,000 staff to train, building confidence and providing reassurance was key, so First Friday developed and delivered workshops which enabled over 150 carefully selected staff to skillfully facilitate the eLearning sessions. This approach provided support for retail staff during their EPoS eLearning and ensured that key changes and benefits messages were consistent and understood . These two factors were key in supporting both the retailer’s principles and reassuring all staff through this major change programme.

“The EPoS project team have been thrilled at tall the delegates positive responses to the First Friday eLearning sessions and at how the facilitated training approach has enabled all the staff to pick up and run with the new system effortlessly whilst continuing to provide superior levels of confident customer service. “Feedback from yesterday’s workshop was fab. Sprinkling your magic again!”  Programme Manager
