The Arcadia Group is a fast-moving multi-channel retailer comprising of nine of the high street's best-known and most exciting fashion brands, eight online stores and an ever-growing roster of international stores spanning Europe, the Far East, the Middle East and the US.
To support this dynamic and exciting environment, Arcadia recognises the importance of high-quality training for its buying and merchandising teams. Therefore, Arcadia engaged First Friday to design and deliver a first-class training programme for Assistant Merchandisers and Assistant Buyers across all the brands within the group.
First Friday deployed a team of training consultants, all of whom had an extensive background in buying & merchandising. They worked with Arcadia to map out a training programme which met the learning objectives of a rapidly-changing multi-channel fashion business.
We designed and developed a suite of courses that together make up this programme. Subjects include: Understanding retail, Design to delivery, Costings, Stock management, Supplier management, Branch merchandising, Negotiations, Range building & option planning and Introduction to Colour.
First Friday now deliver the training programme on a regular basis to the Assistant Merchandisers and Assistant Buyers from all of Arcadia’s 9 brands. All courses run regularly against a training calendar and are usually over-subscribed!
