Gita joined the First Friday team as a business partner in 2015, bringing with her many years’ experience as a retail professional, and has worked at both executive and non-executive director level.
With a background in accounting, Gita uses her analytical and planning skills to support her clients to deliver complex change. Having been involved in large-scale transformation programmes for numerous leading UK and international retailers, she has a wealth of knowledge of system and operational review, merchandise planning, supply chain and internal audit.
Advising on best practice at board level and enjoying supporting the delivery of optimal solutions, clients describe her as “personable”, “tenacious” and “determined to deliver the right solutions every time”.
In addition to her role at First Friday, Gita is a trustee of the Retail Trust, a charity that cares for and protects the lives of people working in retail and Catch 22, a social business delivering public services. She also likes to keep fit, cook and spend time with friends and family.
