Clare’s background is in buying and merchandising having held senior roles for both Arcadia and Mothercare, where she was Head of Buying and Merchandising for the Home, Travel & Toys division.
Highly attuned to how teams react to change and how to support them in practical ways to deliver successful outcomes, Clare joined the First Friday team in 2007 and is now a Principal Consultant and Head of the First Friday Training Academy.
Clare has worked with many retailers both in the UK and overseas, including El Corte Ingles (Spain), Woolworths (South Africa), Super Retail Group (Australia), Indigo (Canada), as well as many UK-based organisations and has supported both the introduction of new merchandising functions and the development of B&M processes and skills.
She has extensive experience delivering structured training programmes and academies to boost capability and land effective change. In all her work, Clare has delivered lasting results that continue to generate value long after her engagement.
Outside work, Clare likes to travel, whether for some sun or a city break, and also enjoys gardening.
