Merchandising and Transformation Consultant
An exceptional consultant with a background in merchandising and merchandise planning, Claire joined First Friday after spending a long career in retail, working in senior roles for Tesco and Jaques Vert following a few years in Australia as a Merchandise Planning Manager for Coles. In 2016 Claire joined Signet as Head of Commercial Planning where she remained for a few years before moving into consulting.
Claire enjoys working with businesses to establish planning and forecasting best practice. Over the course of many years spent in merchandise planning – working with products ranging from clothing to homewares to toys to FMCG – she became a specialist in optimising the use of spreadsheets and systems to support efficient, high-quality sales, profit and stock planning.
Always keen to understand what’s important to a business – both now and in the future – to establish ways of working that will live on beyond the duration of any working partnership, Claire thrives on supporting clients to feel empowered to plan with a greater degree of confidence, and enjoys watching teams learn and grow.
In her free time Claire enjoys free time Claire enjoys playing pool; she plays at county level and has been part of the winning team at both the National Championships (Buckinghamshire) and European Championships (England).
